Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
GraviTalk (the “App”) is a mobile application designed to help you practise and improve your public speaking and communication skills. The App is operated by Splash Consulting Partners LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), a limited liability company organised in the United States. 2. The Short Version
- We collect your email address and the recordings you make inside the app.
- Your voice recordings are sent to our server, converted to text, and analysed by AI to give you coaching feedback. We do not sell your recordings or your data to anyone.
- We store your session history so you can track your progress over time.
- You can request deletion of your account and all your data at any time.
3. What Data We Collect
3a. Account Information
When you register, we collect:
- Email address — used to identify your account and send account-related communications (e.g. password reset). We do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
- Password — stored as a secure one-way hash. We never store or see your plain-text password.
3b. Voice Recordings
When you use GraviTalk to practise a speech:
- Your voice is recorded on your device for the duration of your session.
- The audio is sent securely over HTTPS to our backend server for processing.
- The audio is converted to a text transcript using speech-to-text technology.
- The transcript is then sent to an AI analysis service (Anthropic) to generate your coaching feedback across three dimensions: Substance, Language, and Delivery.
- Audio files are not permanently stored. Once your transcript and analysis results are generated, the audio is discarded. We do not retain your voice recordings on our servers.
3c. Session Data
For each practice session we store:
- The text transcript of your most recent session (older session transcripts are not retained — only scores and metadata are kept for historical sessions)
- Session scores (Substance, Language, Delivery) — retained indefinitely to power your progress tracking
- Session metadata: date, time, duration, mode (Freestyle or Directed), prompt used (if Directed Mode), and filler word counts
- AI-generated coaching feedback for your most recent session
3d. App Usage Data
We may collect basic, non-identifiable app usage information such as app version, device operating system version, and general error/crash logs.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel) at this time. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
4. How We Use Your Data

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your recordings and transcripts are processed to generate your feedback and are not retained or shared for model training purposes.
5. Third Parties Who Receive Your Data
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the app. These services receive only the data necessary to perform their specific function:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
6. Your Consent — Recording Notice
Before your first recording, GraviTalk asks for your explicit consent. By accepting, you confirm:
- You are recording only yourself
- You understand that recording other people without their consent may be illegal in your jurisdiction and that you accept responsibility for compliance with applicable laws
- You consent to your recording being processed as described in this policy
You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
7. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Railway’s cloud infrastructure, hosted in secure data centres.
- All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we cannot recover your password, only reset it.
- Access tokens are short-lived and stored securely on your device.
- We maintain regular database backups to protect against data loss.
- We do not store AI provider API keys on your device — all AI calls are made server-side.
8. How Long We Keep Your Data

9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your session history (we will provide this in a readable format on request)
- Withdraw consent for recording at any time

10. Children’s Privacy
GraviTalk is intended for users aged 18 and over. Our registration flow requires users to confirm they are 18 or older before creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page, and notify you via the app or by email if the changes are material. Continued use of GraviTalk after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to the GraviTalk mobile application on Android (and iOS when released). GraviTalk is a product of Splash Consulting Partners LLC. This policy does not apply to any third-party websites or services linked from the app.
